1. 4.21 If you are concerned about specific numbers being dialled from your phone because of the high cost of the calls or the content of them eg adult services, you can ask your telecoms provider to block specific number ranges. Some telecoms providers may offer this facility for free, others may charge. This is known as `call barring’. 2. 4.22 However, customers cannot have individual calls barred – calls are barred on a whole range. Therefore, you would not be able to dial any other numbers in that range.
