Can I become both a Green Globes Professional (GGP) and Green Globes Assessor (GGA)?
No. To protect the integrity of the system, one individual is not permitted to hold both designations and the duties of each in no way overlap. GGPs provide consulting services to support building owners and facility managers and facilitate the assessment process in general, and GGAs are responsible for the performing third-party assessments—which are assigned by GBI—that determine a building’s final certified rating. However, a person holding a current GGP designation is free to pursue a GGA certification if they meet the minimum requirements. Once the GGA designation is reached, the GGP designation must be relinquished.
