Can I become a marine biologist with a political science major?
“Marine biologist” isn’t a career like the law, sales, or marketing are. There aren’t major corporations that go around hiring marine biologists, because marine biology doesn’t actually make that much money. Like all researchers, most marine biologists are attached to universities of some sort, usually on the coasts (for obvious reasons). The question becomes whether you are qualified to pursue a graduate degree in marine biology. If you’ve taken sufficient courses in biology, this isn’t impossible, but Gen Bio and Orgo are probably not enough. You should consult graduate degree programs’ websites for more particular information. On the other hand, literally anyone with a college degree who can do well on the LSAT can go to law school. Your major is utterly irrelevant.
