Can I be reimbursed for an air ticket prior to the actual travel date?
You can not be reimbursed in advance for a ticket purchased. However, you may apply for a travel advance; after the trip you will be required to provide the boarding pass and airline receipt. Can I be reimbursed for airline tickets purchased in advance to obtain a low fare? There are two ways to address this need; 1) Use any of the university-preferred travel agencies. The cost of the ticket could be charged directly to the university. 2) Request a travel advance. An advance can be requested up to 90 days before the travel date.
