The notary ensures that they have checked the following; a) I.B.I. (local rates) b) Telephone c) Water d) Electricity e) Community Charges f) Rent (leasehold business purchase only) g) Mortgage (if applicable) For your protection the Lawyer and Notary will not allow the purchase to complete until the property is completely free of any monies owing.
