If you have a Master’s degree in accounting or other business related field and 24 semester hours in accounting OR if you have a bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in accounting and at least one year of specialized experience, you can be considered for an ELPA position at the GS-9 level. Specialized experience is experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position being filled, i.e., Accountant.
