Can I Backlap with the MagKnife?
Absolutely. The ability to backlap has not changed. One benefit of the magnetic fastening is that backlapping is more precise, because there is even pressure across the face. When backlapping is complete, simply rinse off and set up the reels. Also, our tests indicate that because the magnets exert even force across the face of the bedknife, backlapping is not required as often and when its done, it takes less time to perform than with a mechanically fastened bedknife.
