Can I apply MDF-500 to wood materials instead of removing the wood?

If mold growth has damaged the structural integrity of wood, the material must be replaced. If the wood is structurally sound, mold growth can ordinarily be removed from wood through agitation (sanding, wire brushing, blasting). Applying MDF-500 to moldy wood materials will usually not remove stains in the wood caused by mold, as will sanding or other abrasive procedures. If stains remain, only surface sampling conducted by an IEP can determine whether spore counts in the stained area are at normal levels.
