In 2011 we will operate a “high trust” co-ordinated offers process in Round 1 which is a significant improvement this year on previous recruitment years. As in previous years, applicants will need to make a decision on an offer within 48 hours of receiving one, but in 2011 you will be able to hold an offer from any specialty in the UK while waiting for other offers in Round 1. All first offers will be issued by 11 March 2011 and you will be able to hold an offer until 25 March. Please note you should not hold more than one offer as in doing so you are disadvantaging your colleagues from receiving offers. You can hold an offer, while waiting for a preferred offer, and you can change the offer you are holding for a later offer, but you may only hold one offer at a time. You can hold an offer up until noon on 25 March 2011, by which time you will need to make a decision or the offer will be considered automatically rejected.
