Can I analyze ladder bar codes on a thermal printer with an SV unit?

Yes. The SV unit must be mounted in a rotated orientation to allow the ladder codes to go through the laser beam. If multiple bar codes are present, only those codes that can be scanned with a single beam path can be analyzed. Care must be taken to control the paper path out of the printer so the bar codes is flat during the time it is in the laser beam. There may be some considerations regarding particular interface cables. Contact RJS technical support for details.
