The AREDS study proved that it is safe to take the AREDS recommended vitamins (Aredium) and a multivitamin. However, we recommend only taking a companion supplement which reduces the risk of overdosing by taking unneeded antioxidants and zinc in your current multivitamin which are already present in Aredium AREDS Formulas.
