Can I adjust the upper limit used by the Auto Exposure function in ANALYZE?
The Help -> Settings dialog in ANALYZE 5.0.3 includes a setting that will limit the upper exposure time employed by the Continuous Auto Exposure function. By default, the auto exposure can take the camera exposure time up to the maximum range of 500ms. When the light level is very low, the exposure time will be increased by the application in an attempt to increase the scene brightness. This results in a reduction in the frame rate from the camera. By imposing an upper limit on the auto exposure to a value that is more suitable to your microscope setup (for example 75ms may be the longest exposure time required on your highest power objective), the auto exposure function will respond more rapidly to changes in light level, especially as the turret is rotated between objectives, when light is briefly blocked from reaching the camera.
