Can I access sites outside Monash/Why can I only access Monash sites?
Yes, access to “external” sites is permitted. If you can access Monash sites but not external sites, generally the cause is one or more of the following issues: • Your account does not have external site access – to check this use the Accounts Lookup Page. If you do not have an entry in the table listing your access that says “MODEMEXT”, you do not have external access – in this case, please follow the details on the Modem Accounts page. • You are using the internal access phone number – check to see that you are dialling up to Monash using 9239 4900 as the phone number, not 9239 4800. • Your browser does not have the proxies set correctly – please follow the instructions found on the Configuring Monash Dialup Internet page for Netscape and Internet Explorer instructions.
