Yes. A General Sir John Monash Award has an annual value of up to AUD $50,000. It may be held concurrently with other scholarships, awards or sources of income at the discretion of the Foundation. A General Sir John Monash Award is exempt from Australian income tax, subject to the terms of ATO Ruling CR 2003/109 at – http://law.ato.gov.
