CAN HYDROVENTURI SYSTEMS WORK IN ALL MARINE AND RIVER LOCATIONS?
No. We prefer rivers which are flowing fast and have more than 2m depth, though we can also install systems in shallower streams. In tidal systems, we require between 10m and 60 m depth (more than 60m costs more)and – obviously – the faster the water the more power we can get. There are some circumstances in which HydroVenturi systems would NOT be the correct choice for tidal power – however, we believe the areas where we are uniquely viable far exceed these latter situations.
