Can hours spent helping mothers by phone or email be counted toward the Pathway 3 requirements?
Such practices may be counted only if they are directly supervised by your mentor(s). Although it is important to know how to help mothers by phone and/or email, time spent on such activities should be kept to a minimum. Most of your clinical practice should be obtained by providing direct, in-person care to breastfeeding families.
