Can hospitals take advantage of the stimulus funding for physician (ambulatory) EHRs?

0

Hospital-owned physician practices are eligible to receive stimulus incentives for ambulatory EHRs; however hospital-employed physicians (pathologists, emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, etc.) are not eligible for the funding incentives. In addition, some hospitals may also be able to apply for and receive grants or loans to further EHR adoption in their community as part of the $2 billion in jump start funds being disseminated by ONCHIT.
