Can Horses eat Caramel Apples?

0

Caramel consists of burnt sugar and butter or cream. It is perfectly safe to feed to horses. The wax paper should be okay too, because it’s intended for use on food and has to be “food grade,” so there can’t be any additives or residues that would be toxic. That said, feeding caramel apples to horses is an act that verges on INSANE!!!!!!! Good grief, Lauren, don’t you guys know that even imperfect caramel apples are too delicious to just feed to horses? For crying out loud, if they aren’t cosmetically perfect, get a knife and cut ’em up and eat them yourselves! Caramel apples and (even better) the glossy red candied apples are two of the best things about this time of year. Feeding delicious caramel apples to horses….I think I’m going to cry….;-)) (…or maybe go to the mall and buy one for myself….
