Yes. The EP-5025 uses HOP technology to retract the output shaft (pin) when energized. Through the use of dynamic seals, the EP actuator provides both launch restraint and release from a compact package. EP actuators release trace amounts of paraffin during operation, but these devices easily satisfy standard NASA outgassing requirements. Actuator reset is accomplished through the use of a ground support tool with access from the front or the rear of the device. The EP-5025 is designed to meet a broad range of pulling requirements but the technology is easily scaled to satisfy specific customer requirements.
