Can homeowner file a claim on lender placed policy

If the homeowner has a home owner’s policy on the property, he/she will be able to contact their insurance company representative to have an adjuster review the damage.  If the policy was in the tenant’s name,  there is not much you can do beyond going after the former tenent for the reasonable cost to repair damages – and if you need to do this, you would file an action in small claims court.
