Can heat exchangers be repaired?

I would say it would have to be replaced. Usually when a heat exchanger breaks I have to go get a new one. I use Fluorotherm form my heat changers and shrink tubing. I know it stinks to have to go get a new one, but it will be nice to have a brand new, and working heat exchanger

The short answer is no, they must be replaced. Many are still under a parts warranty (you would only have to pay for labor). In any case, there is no alternative. Heating systems with leaky heat exchangers are dangerous and can’t be operated until replaced.
