Can grant funds be used to purchase literacy materials for parents residing in the Literacy Zone?
Funds can be used to purchase instructional materials for students in approved adult education classes including adult basic education and English as a second language. Question #19: Do we have to put a cash value on the in-kind services provided by partner organizations or is it enough to list them? Yes, the value of cash or in-kind contribution to the Literacy Zone Partnership must be listed on the Literacy Zone Partner Matrix form. Question #20: We understand that we have to get commitment letters from all parties on the “guiding coalition” – do we have to get such letters (for referrals etc.) from all the organizations listed on the Literacy Zone Partnership Matrix?
