Can giving my cat canned cat food make him sick?
Although many people rely on dry cat food as a staple for their cats’ diets, canned cat food is a must for developing strong bones and muscles, while mitigating many potential conditions caused or contributed to by an all-dry cat food diet. I talked to my vet & he said that cats need to ingest water with its food, as the cat does not have a very strong thirst drive. & Also, cats by nature, are made to consume protein. Cats need the good quality of protein in canned food. I personally stopped giving my cat so much canned cat food once it got to age 13 in human years. But I believe a good balance of dry foods & canned foods I gave to my cat helped it live so long.
