Gamera WET has been designed by professionals who are involved in research on web accessibility at an international level which emerged as a result of the Web Accessibility Initiative. Gamera WET is capable of carrying out checks and automatic evaluation tests directly related to the Web Conent Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 1.0, as recommended by W3C on 5 May 1999. The creation of WCAG 2.0 is already at an advanced stage of development which became W3C Recommendation (11 December 2008), currently only available in English.
