Yes. R22 and R spray have the same anti-corrosion mechanism as hot-dip galvanizing. In the 1940s, researches conducted by Cambridge University indicated that the coating, which had more than 95% pure zinc metal in the dried film, provided electrochemical protection on steel and had the equivalent anti-corrosion effect of hot-dip galvanizing.
