CAN G3s APPLY THE NEW INSECTICIDES?
A. – Uniform application to each seed is essential to get the best field benefit from the new long duration insecticides. That’s always been the strong point of G3 applicators. The insecticide application rate is so low that they will usually be tank mixed with a fungicide carrier and co-applied. G3’s were broadly used to apply Cruiser, and Gaucho 480 last year in the U.S. onto soybeans and cereals with good success. We have pre-calibrated the G3 for Cruiser 350FS and 5FS mixed with Dividend RTA, Dividend Extreme Warden RTA and ApronMaxx RTA. Gaucho 480 premix calibrations will be available when it receives registration. This allows instant field use, without messy field calibration needs.
