Can FRSs use the Equality Framework for Local Government (EFLG)?
Yes, but it makes more sense to use the FRS EF which has been specifically designed for the service. The EFLG does not address some of the specific service priorities set out in the national equality and diversity strategy. These include recruitment, integrated risk management planning (IRMP), workplace facilities, and bullying and harassment. FRSs that use the EFLG will need to make separate arrangements for the assessment and reporting of their performance against such priorities.
