Can FRP be used as a bathtub or shower surround?

Yes. FRP panels are non porous to moisture when installed vertically to the wall, so Exceliner can be used as a tub surround. There will be seams as the panel is mostly supplied in 48″ widths. Install the seam to the far end away from the faucet or shower head. Caulk all the joints with silicone caulking and leave expansion room at the joints.
