go down to walmart, or any auto parts store, buy a bottle of bars leak, when you have rusty water, due to some body being too cheap to put antifreeze in, when you flush it, any leaks the rust was plugging up for you, may start to leak ( or not) there is no way to tell, my freind an old time racing car driver and mechanic swears by bars leak, when he rebuilt the top end of my motor, we put in bars leak and the antifreeze just in case any pin holes (which more than likely is similar to what could happen to your car). ask the mechanic to put in the bars leak after installing the antifreeze, if your mechanic has a problem with that, ask him if he has anything he would recommend? worth a try, and its a heck of a lot cheaper than a head gasket job.It will give a dark color to your antifreeze, so if you do use it, be sure and tell anybody later, I have had those lube and screw oil change places try to tell me that the fluid was bad, when all it had in it was the bars leak.
