Can floppy eared rabbits survive freezing temperature?

0

Answer Dear Hector, No type of rabbit–lop or up-eared–can survive freezing temperatures without strong protection. A rabbit left outside without shelter will die when it gets very cold, and suffer terribly. Please NEVER leave a rabbit outdoors if the temperature is any lower than about 40 Farenheit. And below 50 Farenheit, the bunny needs a secure, warmed shelter where he can go and snuggle in dry, warm bedding and warm up if he gets too cool. The best, safest place for a bunny in the winter is *indoors* with the family. I don’t think any human family members would like to spend the night outside in the freezing winter–even well dressed. Your rabbit is no different. DO NOT leave him outside when it’s cold. I hope this helps.
