Can final papers or final projects in undergraduate courses that are assigned in lieu of a written final exam be due before or during RRR week?
No. Papers or projects that are assigned in lieu of a written final exam cannot be due before or during the RRR week, according to Academic Senate and campus policies. Instructors are encouraged to give students the full benefit of the RRR week for consultation with their instructors and revision. Due dates for final papers or projects that substitute for final exams should ideally be set for the day on which the written final exam would have been given and may not be set any earlier than the first day of the final exam period. Note that papers, projects or other homework assignments that are not substitute forms of final assessment may be due during the RRR week.
