I can not comment on the process of immigrating to Canada. However I can as far as the UK is concerned. Your drawing SSI will have little effect on immigrations as long your husband can prove he can support you without recourse to public funds. Your disability will also have no bearing. To immigrate to the UK from the US you do not have to take a physical as part of the process. Also once you are settled in the UK you will be able to use the NHS. After being there for 2 yrs, you will be able to use all other public benefits in addition. As long as your husband can prove financial income sufficient to support you, then you will be okay. Right now it is roughly 100 pounds a week after bills are paid. He will also need to provide evidence of living arrangements. Just as a side note. Not sure about Canada, but in order to immigrate to the UK, both spouses have to be over 21. There are no exceptions!
