There is no charge for a person seeking protection to file Domestic Violence Restraining Order papers at the court. The person seeking protection needs to fill out the fee waiver forms only if he or she wants the sheriff or marshal to serve the restraining order at no charge. PLEASE NOTE: Fee waiver forms are confidential forms for the court. Do not have them served on the person to be restrained.
