Can FileCenter search my scanned documents?
FileCenter can search for any scanned document that has accompanying OCR text. This is normally in the form of a searchable PDF document. But note that scanners which produce PDF documents do not normally produce searchable PDF documents. PDF documents produced by scanners only contain the image of the original document. They do not contain any machine-searchable text. FileCenter, on the other hand, produces searchable PDF documents which contain both the image of the original document and machine-searchable text. In addition, our FileConvert product can batch-convert your old scanned documents to searchable PDF files.
