Can FEVA perform on SRAM?
** If you frequently run 100,000 d.o.f. problems, it is highly recommended that you choose CPU speed as fast as possible, and as many processors as possible. The SAGE solver will automatically use all the CPUs, and can usually scale down the runtime accordingly. I strongly recommend 2-CPU machines at least. Note that Windows 98/95/3.x will not be able to use the multiple CPU at all. As far as memory is concerned, get as much as possible since it is very cheap now. I can get 1 giga byte SDRAM PC133 for less than $100. The newest 2 giga hertz P4 CPU with the newest Intel 850 chipset will take the PC2100 SDRAM (266 mhz bus speed), and they are only $125 per gigabytes. I would recommend at least one gigabyte of memory. If you can, pay a little more to get ECC sdram. These have checksum correction, but only if the motherboard supports them. Avoid buying machines from the cheapest vendor since it usually has the lowest quality parts, but choose a reputable vendor.
