Ferriprox® tablets have a film coating. Crushing the tablet should pose no problem as long as the product is administered immediately after doing so. However there are no data to support this and there is no guarantee of the stability of the product if it is left in a crushed form for periods of time. In addition, because of the film coating present, the tablet may not crush elegantly to a fine powder.
