Pending a doctor’s order and approval for leave of absences, family members may take residents out of the facility. If a resident is under Medicare A coverage, they must return to the facility by midnight in order for Medicare to continue payment. Do we need to use Meadowood’s doctor and pharmacy? Families and residents have the right to use any doctor or pharmacy of their choosing. However, only a limited number of physicians visit Meadowood and will follow patients here. We will be happy to furnish you with a list of doctors who make calls to Meadowood. In the event that a doctor will not follow a patient and make visits to Meadowood, the family must arrange to take the resident to the doctor’s office once every 30 days. If this is not a feasible option, residents may switch doctors to the Meadowood Medical Directors, Brad Bomba, Jr. MD, FACP and L. Kay Fields, MSN, NP. Meadowood’s Medicare A contract pharmacy is Williams Brothers but families have the right to decline their services
