Can faculty who didn’t participate in the project planning phase submit requests for proposal to teach courses when that deadline comes up next March?

At this point, no. Initially, we are looking for faculty who state from the start that they are interested in the project. We want faculty willing to work to move the project forward. Hence, only faculty who participate in the planning phase will be permitted to submit full proposals on proposed courses. Down the line, depending on the level of enrollment, funding and interest we find, we may issue other requests for letters of intent for faculty. But we think in the beginning at least, the project will work best when faculty teaching pilot courses have been involved in the project from the start. This also allows us to shape the initial program based on the needs of those submitting letters of intent.
