Can eyelashes grow back?

Yes, your eyelashes do have the potential to grow back again. Hair follicles on our bodies are turned on and off in phases. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell if your eyelash follicles are "on" or "off". Because you didn’t have the eyelash follicle treated with a laser that "knocks out" the follicle, it doesn’t have a reason not to grow back, and it has a reason TO grow back — protection of the eye.

For now, you can go to a cosmologist and have some individual lashes glued to the sites where you lost lashes. This is expensive. Or you can leave it alone, and wait for the lashes to grow back .Least expensive, but requires patience.

Yes they do. Eyelashes are like every other hair on your body. They have a specific growth cycle that keeps them growing regularly. Like each other hair, they will grow to a specific length and then stop. Although most do not realize it, all of the hair on your body will replace itself every few years with new hair, including your eyelashes.

I know this because I used an eyelash curler and accidentally cut off some of my lashes after which I used eyelash enhancers that helped me lot to grow back my eyelashes!!!! Trust, I looked like a fool for a few days ; )

Yes, eyelashes absolutely do grow back, just like other hair on your body.

Individual eyelashes fall out all the time. People who wear contact lenses know this fact all too well. Eyelashes take about four to eight weeks to grow back. These tiny hairs (with help from their cousins to the north) protect your eyes from dust and sweat — you’d definitely notice a difference if you were to lose them. According to Yahoo! Health, the medical term for the severe loss of eyelashes is madarosis. People who suffer from hypothyroidism (an underperforming thyroid gland) often lose their eyelashes in small clumps. Damaging an eyelash follicle, or the small cavity that grows the hair, can also affect future eyelash growth.
