Yes. Trichlorophenols can cause irritation of the skin, eyes, nose, throat, and lungs. We need more studies to know whether trichlorophenols can cause other problems. Workers who make pesticides from chlorophenols and were exposed to chlorophenols as well as other chemicals through breathing and through the skin can have acne and mild injury to their livers.
