UW Students:Yes, but if you have an ESL requirement, you should satisfy this first before attempting to enroll in an English composition course. You must also meet any other eligibility requirements listed in the Quarterly Time Schedule. Non UW Students: Students not previously admitted to the University of Washington (non matriculated status) may enroll in ENGL 111, 121, 131, 281, 381, or 481 only if they can provide documentation that they have met one of the English proficiency test requirements. Enrollment in these courses as a non matriculated student is permitted on a space-available basis only; however, non matriculated students are not encouraged to seek enrollment in these courses during the academic year (autumn, winter, spring quarters) because there is no space available.
