Can engine manufacturers require oil changed in order to keep the warranty in force?
No. Engine oil change intervals are “recommended” by most manufacturers for warrantee purposes. Only the condition of the oil need be kept to certain minimum manufacturer’s specifications during the warranty period. LuberClean insures that the oil continuously exceeds these requirements. Manufacturers that require oil changes will honor warrantee claims as long as accurate oil analysis records are kept stating that the oil is suitable for reuse and that the additives and viscosity are at acceptable levels.
