Can energy data be tabulated differently than what is presented in the tables on the Web site?
Both the CBECS and the RECS have micro-data available in the Public Use files. The CBECS files are available in ASCII and dBASE formats and the RECS files are available in ASCII format. Instructions on how to weight the sample data are provided. The latest CBECS public use files can be accessed at: http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/cbecs/microdat.html. The latest RECS public use files can be accessed at: http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/recs/recs97/publicusefiles.html.The MECS does not publish microdata. For information about access, contact Robert Adler at: Robert.Adler@eia.doe.gov.
