Can Endot pipe and tubing be used for hot water applications?
• Generally speaking HDPE is not designed for hot water applications. HDPE pipe and tubing is rated for its pressure at 73.4 o F. Any increase in temperature cause the plastic to become softer and therefore the pressure rating will drop. The general rule is for every shift of 10 o F the pressure rating will shift 12%.
