Can employer withhold final paycheck without a signed employment contract agreeing to that?
My employer has moved all other employees into another corporation payroll. He has left me on the old payroll system. I have discovered he has given the landlord notice and is closing the office at the end of the month. He has withheld payment to vendors to punish them in the past. There is a negative balance in the bank account my payroll is paid from. I have continued to come to work daily. Can my employer withhold my paycheck for any reason and still pay everyone else?
