Can employees waive medical coverage mid-year?

0

Yes, in accordance with WAC 182-12-128 if they have other comprehensive group medical coverage. The waiver is effective the end of the month the Employee Enrollment/Change (722.9 KB) form (HCA 50-400) was signed. Employees may waive medical and/or dental on their dependents. If an employee waives medical coverage, he or she will still continue dental, life, and long-term disability coverage. Employees cannot waive medical coverage for themselves and provide medical coverage for their dependents.
