Can either Kotchman or Kendrick hit 20 homers and bat .300?
If the two of them stay healthy and get 600 at-bats, there is definitely a chance each could do so. That will be one of the bigger issues with the Angels’ offense — whether or not Kotchman and Kendrick can remain healthy enough for a full season. Both have the capability to hit 20 homers and bat over .300 they just haven’t proven it yet so this is a big year for each. Kotchman is still growing into his strength and hit 11 homers last season while batting .296. Kendrick hit .322 with three homers in 88 games. While Kotchman has the ability to hit long fly balls, most of Kendrick’s homers would be line drives that just keep carrying. Should they each hit over .300, like their minor-league careers suggest they can, the Angels’ offense will be in great shape.
