Can Egypt overtake South Africa as Africas richest country?
Well you once were on top in Ancient times. Look I don’t want to get into a mud slinging contest with Egypt its not going to benefit anyone. So lets ignore destructive comments by Rendier. Why does SA have to go down for Egypt to go up why can’t Egypt come up with SA, because you certainly have the population to better us very easily if you could build a middle class of 50% of your current population which would be almost about the size of the whole of South Africa. The middle class provides the most money for governments hence SA is taking and active steps through AA and BBBEE (These policies need some refining though even the VF+ admitted they are necessary) if you can check the black middle class it actually growing at a very high speed and the backlash of that is the high interest rates. Easier said then done though. We need more countries in Africa that are successful.
