Can Egg Cups be Cozy?
When I was a kid, my Mom would sometimes soft-boil eggs so that the yolk was still runny. Then she’d serve the egg in a cute plastic egg cup on a plate, with a slice of toast that was cut vertically into strips. After using a knife to chop off the top of the egg, you could dip your thin bits of toast into the yolk and eat it up! It was delicious! Beyond loving the food, I really loved the egg cups. They were just these little plastic cups but something about them was really neat. Even thinking of them just gives me a certain feeling somehow. Eating an egg out of a cup like that would make a really cozy breakfast I think! Currently, my favorite egg cup is one that I got for Christmas from an Aunt and Uncle of mine. It is a hen that’s silver plated and both my sister and I each got one. I’ve had it for over fifteen years now, but sadly I can’t say I’ve eaten many eggs from it lately.
