Can EEG brain test/reading show which sections of brain is not functioning properly?
It can indeed. There are a few kinds of EEG, some use more leads than others and provide slightly more detailed information than others. They measure your brain activity, and can show visually which parts of your brain may or may not be malfunctioning. It’s very interesting, and pain free. It’s just a little strange having all those leads attached to your head! The EEG is usually one of many tests that doctors will use to try and pinpoint the cause of a problem, so they will normally use the results in conjuntion with the results of other tests, to make a diagnosis.
